We leave around 08:00 AM from Yangon. After 33 km, starts wander in Hlawga national park where there has tropical climate flora and fauna are preserved well. Monkeys and deer are plenty. Continue drive, arrive 115 mile rest camp for lunch. Proceed to Poe Kyar forest and elephant camp located at 4 miles west of the express road 173/4-mile post. We trek to the villages nearby and tour around the camp on foot. Around 4:00 PM we enjoy an elephant ride through the jungle and see elephant performance. Check out from the jungle and head to Taungoo for an hour drive.
Stay overnight at Taungoo – Myanmar Beauty (054-25073 / 4)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit main highlight of Taungoo, the ancient Kaytumady old palace site built over 500 yrs and lake. Leave Taungoo at 09:00 AM heading for Moe Yun Gyi wet land, birds’ nestle. Lunch at Pyin Bon gyi. Visit Moe Yun Gyi resort (optional boat ride is available). Leave Moe Yun gyi at 3:00 PM, then visit Bago; Shwe Aung Yway hillock for panoramic view. Photographing to surrounding area of Shwemawdaw pagoda. If time permits wander about Bago main market. Leave Bago at 5:00 PM .Get back Yangon around 7:00 PM.

Optional extension to Kyaikhtiyo (Golden rock)
On the day 2, those who wish to extend Kyaikhtiyo (Golden rock) must skip visiting Bago. After 16 km from Pyin Bongyi, there is a detour point leads to Kyaikhtiyo. Another 80 km (1:30 hr) drive, you will get to foot of Kyaikhtiyo mountain range. Overnight at a guest house at the foot of mountain called kimpun camp.
Clients must assemble at truck departure point at 5:45 AM to the exciting journey Golden Rock, locally called Kyaikhtiyo (the pagoda carried by the hermit’s head) is located on a highest peak(1100 meter above sea level) Paunglaung mountain range in Mon State at south east from Yangon. From the mountain base camp Kimpun, a 20 km concrete road will take you to hill top. Take an hour ride by passenger open truck up to near hill top. Another 10 min walk, then you will reach to the gate of pagoda compound. Learn the peculiar and miracle position of Kyaikhtiyo pagoda and its surrounding.
Back to base camp and have lunch. Drive back to Yangon ( Approximate 4 hrs via Bago). If time permits, photographing to surrounding area of Shwemawdaw pagoda. Then further drive to Yangon.
